What is your favorite one-word titled Best Picture winner?
I'm not sure whether having a one-word title brings good luck to movies in terms of Award-winning, but numbers never lie: more than 25% of Best Picture Oscar winners have only one word in the title. Whether defining an unforgettable setting ("Casablanca", "Titanic" or "Chicago") a real-life legend ("Gandhi", "Amadeus" or "Patton"), a fictional icon ("Rocky", "Gladiator" or "Hamlet") or a quality embracing the film's spirit ("Unforgiven", "Bravehart" or "Platoon") most of these films stood the test of time and became undeniable classics. I Can’t Believe They Chose That As Best Picture
According to the members’ ratings on IMDb’s list of The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ Best Picture Oscar Winners (http://www.imdb.com/search/title?count=100&groups=oscar_best_picture_winners&sort=year,desc&ref_=nv_ch_osc_2), these 30 films* are the lowest rated Best Picture winners on the IMDb.com. Frankly, I’m shocked that some very fine films have such a low rating. However, out of these bottom 30 of the Best Picture Winners, which do YOU think is the WORST (not the best) Best Picture winner? Discuss it here. If you think that some of these films deserve a higher IMDb member vote rating, please click on that film and give it a higher vote! * I had to stop at 30 because there were 10 films at 7.8 that would have driven the list over the 35 entry limit.
