Tyler Perry‘s first ever Netflix comedy series Tyler Perry’s She the People is coming soon and the trailer just dropped!

The prolific filmmaker co-created, wrote, directed and produced the new series, which stars Terri J Vaughn in the lead role.

This is also the second series under Tyler‘s multi-year, first-look partnership with the streamer, following the drama Beauty in Black, which premiered part one in October.

Here’s a synopsis: Lieutenant Governor candidate Antoinette Dunkerson (Vaughn) runs a successful campaign and now must figure out how to thrive under a sexist and condescending governor while attempting to keep her family in line now that they’re all in the public eye.

Also starring are Jade Novah, Drew Olivia Tillman, Tré Boyd, Dyon Brooks and Jo Marie Payton.
