Here we are back to the conclusion of the most mediocre franchise from Sony.
The moment the news got out that the writer of 50 shades of grey, Venom 2 was given free reigns to do as she pleased I knew that this will be a garbage movie.
Who and how in their right mind would give full control to the same person who wrote the second movie which was not only pure trash but also failed to recapture the first movie's silly charm ?
I'll tell you why: nepotism plain and simple.
The director is a very very close friend of Tom Hardy and she snaked her way in to destroy not only the second movie but also this.
Also straight up lying about Knull, the creator of the symbiotes that they always wanted to introduce him from the beginning when in reality the character wasn't even created AFTER the first movie was made.
The first film will always be the best of franchise and all the credits go to Screenwriters And director Ruben Flesicher. It may not be perfect sure, but it had a heart and cohesive story.
Remember when achieving symbiosis was a major plot point in the first movie? Yeah... right... Nobody cares about it now. Apparently it's so easy that bonding with a host is a piece of cake.

Who was the shadowy military figure who was giving orders to Rex Strickland ( Chiewetel ) ?
What was project Imperium?
Was it something that the army had been working on to combat symbiotes or aliens in general?
A personal synthetic symbiote to make super soldiers in the veins of Venom ? Or some kind of super soldier tech suit to combat symbiotes? ( Fyi before everything was made public it was rumoured that Rex Strickland actor was actually going to be Orwell Taylor, an army man with a vendetta against our titular protagonist and creating a slew of super soldier Iron man esque suits named Jury.)
Also what was the point of including Rhys Ifans as a bumbling idiot hippie and spending so much time on them? Oh right I forgot, he was bound by contract with Sony when he signed up as Curt Connors in the Amazing Spider-Man ( Andrew Garfield one)
Before you go crazy about my claims just verify the details... from the internet. These are not secrets but rather information available to the general public.
But, hey atleast you get to have a permanent tinnitus and nausea for watching this garbage. Please don't bother wasting your time and money. I regret it and pretty sure you will too.
I'll never forgive how they destroyed this decent fun franchise only to satisfy their own ego.
