An enjoyable film, but it felt very low stakes the entire time and anticlimactic at the end. Besides some pretty obvious political satire, it leaves certain things to the imagination. Characters seem to have confusing arcs, but the performances were solid and it was at least a fresh concept. Some scenes were unnecessary and could have easily been cut out from the movie.
Synopsis:
Mickey 17, known as an "expendable," goes on a dangerous journey to colonize an ice planet.
Mickey 17 finds Bong Joon Ho returning to his forte of daffy sci-fi with a withering social critique at its core, proving along the way that you can never have too many Robert Pattisons.
