I can recall back when I was a wee lad about five years old when this show came out. And I thought it was a pretty good show. It was funny and kept me interested for a very long time Judging by the 8.2 rating of this show, most people agree.
The show started to lose its quality around 2006. Don't get me wrong here, the movie was hilarious, but I think that was the last ounce of humor this show had. It started to become really stupid after that Whose idea was it to give Sandy that back-story of being sent underwater by science monkeys to create a banana peeler? Wasn't she a karate expert before? And what about Mr. Krabs? I know he was a greedy jerk who once risked his life to save a dime, but he has become way too about money. And don't get me started on Patrick and Spongebob. They were pretty stupid in the peak years, but I think they have lost all of their intelligence.
Do you remember that song "Now that We're Men" from the movie? Remember how courageous they became? If this is the case, why do they act like babies even more than before? They cry all the time! They didn't cry at all back in 1999 except when their feelings were truly hurt.
In my opinion, Spongebob is dead. This tenth anniversary bullshit really needs to be the last we see of Spongebob. I'm getting really sick of this awful show that was once a great one.
