• Another lame British sexploitation film from Tudor Gates (I previously endured his INTIMATE GAMES). This is the guy who scripted Hammer's rather fine female vampire trilogy before moving on into the murky waters of the British sexploitation film genre. As ever, THE LOVE BOX is mainly a curiosity piece for those who want to explore outrageous fashions, very little in the way of narrative, zero characterisation, and ample nudity from various uninhibited starlets.

The plot, if it can be accurately described as such, involved the classified ads column of a magazine which is used for all manner of sexual shenanigans. The film subsequently follows the accepted vignette format of the genre, with various 'square' guys hitting it off with nubile women. The starlets in this one are particularly attractive - some of them eye-poppingly so - but the material is resolutely below par and barrel-scraping stuff. Once again the old 'wife swapping' situation is played out for some extra bizarre laughs here. It's not good.
