SAMMY is another one of those independent family dramas designed to put across a Christian message. I don't mind these films even though they're obvious propaganda pieces; they're quite likeable and they have better characterisation than you'd expect. This one's about a cute but crippled blond boy who hangs around with a similarly cute kitten and tries to put the world to rights. His family, in particular his father, struggle with his condition, but of course adherence to God's values sees everything right in the end.
