Quincy was a crime/drama show that was way ahead of it's time. In fact, this program actually made shows like CSI possible. I was very young when this show came out, but my parents let me watch it; and I loved it. It was one of the shows that got me interested in Criminal Justice.

Quincy stars Jack Klugman as Quincy, and he really does an excellent job in a serious role. He is a Medical Examiner for Los Angeles Co. He not only investigates murders, but public heath outbreaks. Every episode is different, and Quincy is one passionate medical examiner. He cares about the victims and their families, who are affected by crime. I never thought Klugman could perform in such a serious role, but he's perfect. Another plus is the cast, without the right cast this show would fail. It is important for a show to come along like this one. One that educates the audience in forensic science, disease, and crime. Even though it came out in the 70's their is still a lot to learn from this show, that made other police drama's possibles.
