Father of the Bride hits differently when you're a dad. I was a kid when this movie came out, so I had sympathy for George Banks, but now that I have daughters of my own, I have empathy. Regardless of whether you're a parent or not, this movie is still a lighthearted comedy which comically showcases some of the stresses that can come with wedding planning.
