• After the World War I, Sir Clifford Chatterley (James Wilby) returns home invalid in a wheelchair. His beloved young wife Lady Chatterley (Joely Richardson) accepts him in the beginning. But soon, the needy Lady Chatterley feels physically attracted by the gamekeeper Oliver Mellors (Sean Bean) and has an affair with him in the woods and in his cabin despite their difference of classes.

"Lady Chatterley" is an erotic romance by Ken Russell with the affair of an upper-class woman and with a humble working-class gamekeeper. The plot shows not only their affair, but also class struggle in the British system of the beginning of the Twentieth Century. The performances are excellent, and the reconstitution of the Sir Clifford Chatterley's home and costumes is amazingly beautiful. My vote is seven.
