Casting is great, entertaining and quirky, love all the characters. Atypical is light and bright and I'm grateful that it raises awareness for ASD individuals...
But the mother, she is overbearing, neurotic and a ball and chain when it comes to parenting. I'm a parent to an ASD child and this character smothers both children, painfully melding in every aspect of their lives. If given the green light she would still be wiping their bottoms.
Please, can the mum go on a yoga retreat and never return.
