• There are many versions of King Arthur and Camelot, but "The Mists of Avalon" is certainly one of the most fascinating and beautiful films ever made. The story of the transition of the pagan gods to the Christianism is told through the eyes of Morgaine la Fey, wonderfully performed by Julianna Margulies. The lead characters are mostly composed by women, like Anjelica Huston (as Vivianne, the Lady of the Lake); Joan Allen (as Morgause); Samantha Mathis (as Gwenwyfar) and Caroline Goodall (as Igraine); therefore, the screenplay is very sensitive. For those like me that watched this film for the first time almost twenty years ago, it is also worthwhile watching again to recall this wonderful tale. My vote is nine.
