The White Witch, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
In the first big-screen version of the famous C.S. Lewis fantasy series, Tilda Swinton made a strikingly ruthless White Witch, who has enslaved all of Narnia and seeks to destroy benevolent ruler Aslan. The actress opted to emphasize the character's coldness, as opposed to all those "cackling, shouting, hot-under-the-collar witches" of earlier films.
