The same year, he would move to Globo TV, where again he would be honored with the 'Troféu Helena Silveira' for his performance on Bandeira 2 (1971). Nonetheless, his later appearances on telenovelas would be limited to a series of supporting roles.

      His last work on television was for the now defunct Manchete TV in 1986, when he decided to leave acting and dedicate himself to managing his family's wealth. He would spend the following decades collecting art, traveling, and enjoying life in Rio de Janeiro.
