- Madhurika comes back to Diamond Town, after studying in Bombay, svelte and fit in Western clothes. Her arrival comes just as the villain Kedarnath, has brutally seized power while the Prince is away. He was charged with weeding out local corruption but has become the Thugee boss instead. Unbeknownst to Kedarnath, he has a secret enemy named Diler, from a local band of dacoits, who survived Kedarnath burning his family home and gave an oath to avenge his father. Diler and Madhurika join ranks to deliver the town from evil, as she campaigns for women's literacy and independence.

- Anniquin are Korean immigrants who work sugarcane fields in Mexico. In 1905, a group of Korean laborers dreaming of a paradise, are yanked off a ship to face deadly heat and slave labor. Chun-dong is the son of a butcher and Guk-hee is the daughter of a ruined aristocrat. Some try to escape the abuses of the slave drivers but most are caught and put to death. Some of the women get special treatment for favors. Chun-dong saves Guk-hee from such a situation and they fall in love, despite the social disparity. Chun-dong is sent home to warn of the terrible circumstances, but promises to return.

- After landing operations, U.N. soldiers enter a village and violate Jeon-Rae. The villagers ostracize her but Jeon-Rae and her son Man-sik, struggle on in poverty. - Du-jin the sailor meets Eun-ju, the fish market girl who sells more than fish, at a bar. She escapes from Heuksan Island when he stows her away. The speech Anup writes goes well, so Rajendra steals Anup's manuscript for a novel and publishes it under his own name. Rajendra is praised for his insight into the issue of poverty, but the workers at his company go on strike. Anup and Rajendra's sister Gopa, support the striking workers, but his paid goons squelch the strike. Disillusioned by the hypocrisy, Gopa leaves her comfortable wealth behind to be with Anup.

- Rabmadár ('Prisoner Number Seven') is a young lady who was set up to help her lover steal, but she got nabbed and jailed. Her only wish is to see her sweetheart again, and she finally persuades the prison doctor to let her out for the evening. - Jiro is in the 6th grade from a family of five. His father doesn't work and has a quick temper. Jiro gets violent with a student who makes fun of his parents. Mom and dad are arrested, but escape to live as fugitives away from their children. The children understand and support them.

- An indifferent father in his 50s, discovers he has cancer and five months to live. He decides to keep it a secret and focus on organizing his life. He just wants to rest peacefully, but now his home life is ruined. He decides there's no other option than to continue preparing for a painful end, and make sure his family are taken care of. Eventually, the family finds out about his illness, reconcile, and help him prepare for death.
- Joo-hwan is happily married to Eun-hee, with two kids. At his law practice, a new client is accused of attempted murder. Her name is Hae-soo, and she refuses counsel and shows signs of mental deterioration. Joo-hwan defends her by claiming sexual assault trauma from her childhood. She's released but becomes obsessed with her lawyer. Eun-hee is losing her eyesight and tells her husband to divorce her, but with the help of the kids their marriage succeeds. He tries to help his wife regain her sight but Hae-soo shows up, and when a struggle ensues, tragedy strikes. What will Joo-hwan discover when he returns home? Will he turn to Hae-soo after all, or will she lose control on him too?
- Byung-tae suffers from Cerebral palsy and in trying to go sightseeing, ends up at the wrong destination. There he meets Min-wu and pregnant Chun-ja and decides to join them on their trip. Chun-ja is suicidal and makes a lot of trouble for Byung-tae. Chun-ja gives birth in a barn and the couple have and impromptu wedding. When they arrive in Chun-ja's hometown, Byung-tae heads to his original destination.
- The body of Min Yo-sup is found in a church. Hwang the evangelist gives detective Nam Kyoung-ho a clue. In a note, Yo-sup named Jo Dong-pal as her stalker. The detective discovers from Dong-pal's father and a prostitute, that he had been seeking traditional gods and denying Christ. Did Yo-sup turning to Christ get her killed? The servant of a rich man pays Mansuk to behead his master efficiently. Mansuk violently rapes the beautiful daughter of the rich man who's to be executed. He hates the upper-class but keeps his promise to kill gently. After her father's death, Sookyoung and her mother are sold off as slaves. Mansuk hears of this and tries finding her for a long time. Eventually they live happily together but then another revolution happens. How far will Mansuk become entangled in the turmoil and what will become of Sookyoung and their son?
- Though smart, a down and out man sees himself as a failure in life. He steals some money and takes off to Seoul with a friend, whose half-brother pursues them. They find a new friend along the way but the vagabond's friend runs away before they reach Seoul. The other two feel betrayed and they're all miserable in their lives. The new friend they picked up along the way figures out how to reunite them. They work hard to create a new life, and plant flowers and grass around the city. Will they commit more crimes? Will they run away again?
- Yu-ri is unhappy in her marriage, and takes many trips for her job. She causes Min-wu to have a car accident and meets him out of guilt. He is ordered by his boss to blackmail her for money. Min-wu is conflicted, as they've fallen in love, but once he confesses; they plan to run away together to his hometown. Will they make their escape to someplace far away?
- At an abandoned village near the Demilitarized Zone, people from the North sneak in to farm the land. Yungu's son and grandson, would rather sell the land than farm it. He scolds them for not having his attachment to the family plot. A soldier meets Yungu and tells the story of a battle where the guerrillas fought desperately. Yungu is reminded of his other son who died in the war and becomes grief stricken. He thinks there's a grave for his son in this mountain valley. He gets permission and goes looking for the grave in the demilitarized zone. He finds a jade ring near the wooden marker and tells his sons this is their dead brother's grave.
- Hansu Ra is adopted to an American family when her mom dies. She can't forget how her mother died and one day returns to Korea. She begins working under a pseudonym for an electronics company her mom used to manage. Hansu knows Choi Dal-geun, former vice president of the company, is guilty. She seduces Choi and gets him into a debt that pushes him to the brink. Then she seduces the manager and the director into fighting over her. What will the tragic but brave resolution be for these men and Hansu?

- Hyung Jun awakes one day to find his wife has left him, and he must care for his infant son Sang-ah. This is hard for Hyung Jun, as he thinks cooking, cleaning and a babies are women's work. Left with no choice, he takes his son to work with him, and the office soon gets used to the the baby situation. Hyung Jun gets better at taking care of his son, but when he has to work overtime, the only female employee, Ju Mo, helps look after Sang-ah. The two co-workers become close, but then Ju Mo finds out that that her seemingly perfect boyfriend is jealous. Will she go along with this or break up with him and return to Hyung Jun and Sang-ah?
- After their divorce, Emma is unable to get over Hyun Woo, and turns down Jae-ha's marriage proposal. She meets Sanghyun on a boat, where he collects butterflies on an island. She also finds her ex-husband, who wants to get back together, but he lives with Elica so she turns him down. Emma recklessly rides a horse across the fields to dispel her loneliness. She encounters Sanghyun again, who comforts her, but she turns down Sanghyun proposal. Emma reaches the conclusion that marriage and love are two different things, and decides to be independent.
- Lee Hyun, is left with her father's debts to the mob when he dies. Only a college student with little choice, she pays the debt by working as a nightclub hostess for the mob. Just before paying off the debt she takes the risk and escapes. Hyun enrolls at a job training center where she meets Yumi, Seora and Hyemin; from similar situations. The father of the girl has known is not her birth father, and these two lovers might be brother and sister. The mother finds the daughter and explains her concerns. Will they find the husband and son left behind? Will the composer turn out to be her brother or will she be able to get married?

This results in her stay in a mental hospital where she may fall in love again. But can her dreams of married bliss happen, considering her past?
- A poor family live in a rough area due to the Dad's work related accident, but Mom is always smiling. One day, the Son collapses from a heart problem. While trying to raise money for the surgery, the Mom overdoes; so Dad works from his wheelchair until he collapses. The Sister quits school to work as a maid, and writes a story that wins a magazine contest. News of their tragedy goes nationwide and donations pour in. The live broadcast of the award ceremony happens as word of the boy's surgery success spreads through the neighborhood.

- Ki-tae and Cheol-su hang out on their ragged out car eating ice cream and checking out the girls. Hippo shows up looking for Crocodile, who is now in military training. Hippo decides he can use these two bums instead for his drug trade. They lose a bag of dope, are accused of stealing, and must pay for it. Even worse; they then take enough coke to make them rich for life and go on the run.
- BioDrama about the relationship between the painter Bon-woong and the poet Lee Sang. In 1932, during Japanese Imperialism in Korea, Bon-woong returns from art studies in Japan. He's a Fauvist painter who meets the strange man Lee Sang, at an exhibition of his work. They become quick friends, meeting most days and share interests. Lee Sang goes to a health resort for a medical treatment and Bon-woong follows, where they meet Gumhong and both fall for her. The poet loves her in the most base senses, but the painter's love is on a higher plane.
- Truck driver Mansu drives dreams of owning an orchard where he can live in peace with his mom. He is in love with Inok yet kills her ex-boyfriend by accident in a fight. Bumgu makes it look like a murder and gives him an alibi. Mansu wants to refuse but goes along for the sake of his mom and brother.
