- Eleven year old Willem van Nassau-Dillenburg inherits the title of prince of Orange from is uncle René and has to relocate from his home in Germany to Brussels and become a Catholic. Both Philips, the Spanish King and Maria of Hungary, regent of the Netherlands take a liking to the young prince. Young Willem soon befriends the restrained Philip II, the Duke of Alfa and the Earl of Egmond but is appalled at the torture and burning of people who renounce the Catholic faith.
- Cardinal Granvelle has decided it's time for 18 year old Prince Willem to marry and proposes Anna van Buren as the best choice. Willem Van Oranje Nassau names their first child after Prince Philips of Spain, who is asked to become the boy's godfather. When emperor Karel V steps down from the thrown and is proceeded by Philips, Nassau makes ambitious plans to get a high position in the court of the new ruler, Philips II.
- Philips II has appointed Margaretha of Parma as regent of the Netherlands. Oranje and Egmond have become high standing Stadhouders. Together with Alva, the two noblemen travel to France for a meeting with Henry II. Shortly after his mistress Eva Clinckx give birth to a son out of wedlock, the Prince of Orange entertains the notion of marrying the protestant Anna van Saksen. Even before their wedding is set, Anna proves herself to be impulsive and hard to handle.
- When Anna van Saksen, Princess of Orange is introduced to Margaretha Van Parma, they immediately get off on a wrong foot. Egmond travels to the Spanish court to present his and Orange's request to let the Dutch lords have their say instead of the regent Margaretha. When Philips II refuses to give power to the Staten-Generaal, Willem is strongly tempted to take up arms against the Spanish ruler.
- Oranje & Egmond step down as Stadhouders because they refuse to stand behind for the Spanish inquisition. The Dutch people start revolting against the Catholic Church and Oranje is torn between his loyalty to the crown and his people. In Spain, Philips's son Don Carlos asks to be send to the Netherlands to settle things, but his father thinks Carlos is unsuitable for the task.
- Philips II sends Alva to the Netherlands to strike down the Dutch rebellion. Oranje retreats to his ancestral home in Dillenburg, leaving only his eldest son in the Netherlands to finish his study. Unsatisfied having to answer to Alva, Margaretja Van Parma steps down as regent. Alva has Egmond & Hoorne arrested and put on trial. Oranje's son Philips Willem is send to the Spanish Court. Willem decides to go to war and take back the Netherlands.
- Oranje has lost the battle and most of his fortune. His wife Anna leaves him but is soon arrested and imprisoned on account of adultery. Three years after his first crusade, he is persuaded to try again. This time the Dutch people are fully behind him, and Alva finds himself forced to retreat.
- The city of Leiden is under siege. Oranje decides to drive off the Spaniards by flooding the country surrounding the city. Willem marries Charlotte de Bourbon after his marriage to Anna van Saxen is annulled on a count of her insanity. Philips II appoints his half brother Don Juan as regent to the Netherlands, who arrives with an offer for Willem van Oranje concerning his eldest son.
- Willem van Oranje settles down in Brussels, but the politics of the low countries remain turbulent. The Pacification of Gent is a failure, and his request to invite the French heir The Duke of Anjou to come and rule the Netherlands is received with skepticism. Philips II takes Cardinal Granvelle back into his favor, who proposes to excommunicate Oranje and puts a death warrant on his head.
- Willem van Oranje survives a murder attempt but his slow recovery takes it's toll on the health of his wife Charlotte de Bourbon. Suffering from loneliness, he is advised to marry a much younger widow, Louise de Coligny. When she bares him a daughter (his 13th child), Willem spends most of what's left of his money on the baptizing. Balthasar Gerards arrives in Delft with one thing on his mind: to rid the world of Willem de Zwijger.
- After 12 years of work, Professor IJzerdraedt has completed his all knowing robot, Rikkel Nikkel. The only thing Rikkel lacks is a heart, meaning he cannot laugh or cry. Traveling sailor Kees Kraaienest offers to help the robot search for a heart and their first stop brings them to his old friend, Purper the pirate and his greedy wife Madeliefje.
- Chode is hired to place a giant monolith on the primitive planet of the Kubrickians. When it turns out to be a scheme by Darph Bobo to enslave the planet, Six convinces Chode to go back. The fact that the planet houses a heap load of gold also helps to sway Chode's greedy little mind.
- Tarkington's favorite baseball team, the Badgers is staying at the Nutt House because it is the dullest and therefore most quiet hotel in New York. Unfortunately all 21 players and their coach are kept up all night by a crying baby. When the young mother of the culprit, Rosemary packs up and leaves her little girl in the care of the reluctant Ms. Frick, long suppressed motherly feelings arise in her German heart.
- Darph Bobo concocts a convoluted plan to get rid of Chode and Commander Adam at the same time. He kidnaps Six and demands Chode murders Adam within 23.5 minutes. However, Jack Hour of the Alien Terrorist Unit offers to help rescue Six from Intergalactic Airlines flight 69 instead. Once aboard the plane, they find it booby-trapped with deadly snakes.
- Rikkel Nikkel and Kees Kraaienest have traveled by sea for four weeks to visit King Wigbold and Queen Helma. They are invited to a garden party, despite the fact that apart from their castle, the entire kingdom has been conquered by neighboring King Izegrim. Rikkel and Kees device a plan to get the enemy army to change sides, since Wigbold's own army doesn't work on Saturday.
- Rikkel and Kees have arrived in the Drakenbos of Parboria to find Tovenaar Tang who may be able to help Rikkel find a heart. But Tang turns out to be an evil wizard who is forcing Prinsess Fuchsia and her lover Prince Richard to work as his servants. But Rikkel learns magic in no time by reading Tang's magic book. Posing as the great wizard 'Rinekikkel', with Kees as his servant 'Keesenius, the robot challenges the wizard to a competition to win the freedom of Tang's blue blooded servants.
- On the way back to Proffesor IJzerdraedt, Rikkel Nikkel's leg-chain breaks, making him unable to walk. Kees goes on to the Professors house, but is tricked by a crafty thief. This thief has already managed to swipe Santa Claus' sack full of presents and now wants to get his hands on Ijzerdraedt's valuables.
- Rikkel and Kees are on their way to Professor Archibaldes but have forgotten to take along the address. Luckily Professor IJzerdraedt catches up with them when they stop at a bakery. Together they help the baker bake a two meter long bread in twenty minutes, commissioned by the major to celebrate the birth of his twins.

The Black Knight busts his gang out of a jail transport. Together they kidnap Callahan and when Tackleberry fails to show up to rescue her, they decide to take over the entire Academy.

- Spottiswood & Co is making Jack-In-The-Boxes, but the jacks keep escaping from their boxes because Bertha doesn't have enough glue to fasten them properly. When Panjid discovers there's a mouse running lose in the factory, Mr. Sprott is asked to develop a mouse trap.
- Solomon offers help to the Galalunans and tries to reactivate Octus at G3 Headquarters. But General Steel takes this opportunity to launch an attack on G3 with his H.M.E.R. (aka The Hammer). In the middle of the battle, the Rift Gate opens.

Buntz is suspected of keeping and selling a kilo of cocaine for himself from the plane crash suitcase. LaRue is nearly shot in the face and afterwards, briefly thinks he's invincible. Goldblume's first short story is published and everybody in the precinct except Belker recognizes himself in one of the characters.
- After escaping the Fromm Gang, the Sand Sloth crash-lands in time for the Boonta Speeder Race. Sise Fromm hires bounty hunter Boba Fett to capture the racers.
- The Storyteller recounts the time he was caught making a fool of the royal cook and, as punishment meted out by the King, must tell one story a day for a year. All goes well until the very last day when he suffers from storyteller's block.
- Miss Scarlett has fallen for Dave, the leader of a band of traveling hippies who have set up camp at Arlington. But when she invites him over for dinner, he appears to have more dubious connections to the rest of the dinner guests as well.
- In 1902, Adam Adamant is lured into a trap by his arch nemesis 'The Face' and frozen in ice for eternity. That is until he is accidentally freed by workmen in 1966. When Georgie's grandfather is killed by a couple of thugs, Adamant decides his services are once again needed.
- Dr Victor Frankenstein IV visits the United States and brings along Johann, one of his great-grandfather's earlier, less civilized creations. Herman reluctantly agrees to take Johann home to teach him some manners with the help of Grandpa. Unfortunately, Lily mistakes Johann for her husband and takes him to the Happy Valley Lodge for the weekend.
- The entire Knots household is upset about one thing or the other. Grandpa hurts his knee while re-enacting his marriage proposal in front of Oma, so a doctor is send for. Soon the medic, Dr. Heman, begins to charm all the women in the household. Neef Herbert has got a present for Onkel X and Tante Til's 21st wedding anniversary. Tante Til is uncomfortable being reminded that their marriage has remains childless. Hansje is upset because Arend has moved out of his lodging without telling her.
- Mungo and the droids look for a prospecting hermit to learn more about the Roonstones.
- Colonel Steve Austin is placing earthquake sensors on the ocean floor with Dr. Louis Craig of the US fishing boat Nesco. When the nearby country of Santa Ventura breaks of diplomatic relations with the U.S., a patrol boat captures the Nesco and severs the air hose to the diving bell Steve Austin is manning.
- The often mentioned but never before seen neighbour Mrs. Miller takes action against JC. Birtch with Neil. Maisie is torn between her loyalty towards her boss and her love for No 73. Andy has problems with his manager while Kim gets ready to perform her single 'Don't Turn Around' in the cellar.

- Criminals Jasper and Herman are looking for the receiver. They still suspect their accomplices Willem and Ruud of having it instead of Thomas. Willem and Ruud think Senior has it and Senior still suspects every elderly lady in town of being a pickpocket in disguise.
- The criminals execute plan C: hijack the armored car they think is carrying the Egyptian treasure. Meanwhile Thomas has the actual treasure, which he thinks is the loot of the pickpocket gang, delivered at Sandra's farm. Unfortunately Senior walks right into the criminals rendezvous at the old ruin.
- Gijs is having trouble understanding the foreign hired help Riepel, so King Sopramus 1 offers his assistance. Meanwhile Gijs' grandmother Kneutje arrives unexpectedly and mistakes Riepel for her grandson and the visiting Indian girl Shiela for Princess Milo. It turns out Sopramus has invited them all to the castle in order to make an important revelation.
