- 2013–2015TV Episode"Heart in Your Heartbreak" is MTV Iggy Artist to Watch The Pains of Being Pure at Heart's biggest, mushiest sing-along anthem. For this clip, the Brooklyn-based indie pop quintet regales fans who came out to help them shoot the original music video for their new track "Until the Sun Explodes" with an old favorite. It's kind of like one huge group hug in song form.
- Underachiever, Dick Burns, attempts to attract good fortune by performing the New Era Mayan Ritual on the last day of the Mayan calendar.
- Director David Fishel channels his surreal style to bring the song to life in this mesmerizing, unnerving music video/short film, complete with one of his signature surprise endings. Fishel's interpretation of "Birdman," a ranting, raving homeless oracle, is juxtaposed with the story told by The Brute Chorus about a shaman casting spells on his neighbor. Frontman James Steel opens his tale with "I'm gonna drink myself immortal and smoke myself blind," quoting a heretical hymn from centuries ago. It's an ancient start to a modern rendition of what happens when black magic just goes wrong.
- One of the highlights of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's New York City stop on her 100%KPP World Tour, the pure pop sugar rush of "Candy Candy" fills the room with child-like glee in this live video. - In the epic video we made with MTV Iggy Artist to Watch The Pains of Being Pure at Heart the band plays their new song "Until the Sun Explodes" to an audience of frenzied revelers in an abandoned church as a giant meteor hurtles toward earth. The world is ending, but these indie rockers aren't going out quietly. We're pretty proud of how it turned out, but before it's unveiled, we invite you to go behind the scenes with the band and film crew. Explore the decaying Brooklyn church location where the video was shot and meet director Tyson Wade Johnston to hear how he brought his sci-fi sensibility to the apocalyptic narrative.
- Australian artist and entertainer Harris had been a regular on British TV for a decade by the time of this, his only real pop TV entry. Harris had hits not only in Australia and Britain, but also America, even Alice Cooper covered his hit Sun Arise. But the mid sixties saw the hits trail off and he concentrated on TV work, mostly the tea-time slots. Magic and puppet show Hey Presto had been running successfully since the mid fifties, but had been handed over to Harris and his name added to the title. Animation for the show was provided by Bob Bura and John Hardwick, who would go on to help create the Trumptonshire shows with Gordon Murray. After a slow start with the likes of Acker Bilk and The Barron Knights it soon kicked into action with never to be seen again appearances by Marianne Faithfull, The Mindbenders, Georgie Fame, Yardbirds, The Fortunes, Manfred Mann, Zoot Money's Big Roll Band and a very rare UK outing for mod legends The Creation.
