Nearly a century after his death, traces of Taghiyev can still be found in places ranging from Baku to St. Petersburg, from Istanbul to Kars, and from Pakistan to Egypt. This documentary film, supported by the insights of expert historians, artists, and intellectuals, will allow us to explore Taghiyev's life, his era, and the regions he influenced. We will deeply feel the essence of the phrase "Two states, one nation."

This is where the work gets its title, "If Not This One, Then That One." The strategy works and Sarvar succeeds in marrying Gulnaz.
