Over the years, Ubisoft has garnered the attention of millions with games that belong to different genres, and appeal to the masses by providing familiar gameplay loops and franchises that cater to kinds of people. Unfortunately, it’s not as bright and colorful behind the scenes.
In a shocking revelation, game artist and designer Lisette Titre-Montgomery has spoken about her painful experience working with the studio in the past, which eventually caused her to resign from her role for good.

At the end of “True Detective Night Country” episode 1, a frozen block of naked dead bodies — seven to be precise, are discovered. Their faces and a few limbs are sticking out of the ice, and their expressions are that of sheer terror.
Ennis Police Department chief Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster), who has been investigating the disappearance of several researchers from the Tsalal Arctic Research Station, dubs the discovery a “corpsicle.” In Episode 2, the corpsicle is excavated and transferred to an ice rink. Prosthetics designers Lou and Dave Elsey were in charge of constructing the giant set piece, taking inspiration from the grouping of rats known as a “rat king,” sculptures and illustrations such as those in “Dante’s Inferno.”
It began with discussions with showrunner Issa López about what the conglomeration would look like and what the position of the bodies would be. She didn’t want a pile of dead bodies.

A prolific TV character actor, voiceover artist, and one of the tallest performers in Hollywood has passed away. As confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Richard Moll, known by most as the tall, bald bailiff Aristotle Nostradamus "Bull" Shannon on "Night Court" and the voice of Harvey Dent/Two-Face on "Batman: The Animated Series," died at his home in Big Bear Lake, California. He was 80.
At a towering 6-foot-8-inches tall, Moll often played intimidating figures, like his first television role of "Big Thug" on "Welcome Back, Kotter," Harold the Monster on "Here's Boomer," the abominable snowman in the film "Caveman," the gigantic zombie soldier in "House," Hoagie in "The Flintstones," Mestema in "The Dungeon Master," Hugh Kane in "Scary Movie 2," and even one of the Dementors in "Jingle All the Way."

I am, of course, referring to that final, frozen level of hell as pictured in Dante's Inferno. But even calling The Exorcist: Believer colder than the coldest hell might be giving it too much credit, or really, any credit that it does not earn. At first we might think, why does this film even exist? Well, we know why: to make money, to capitalize on a previously existing and beloved film. And perhaps its sequels, but really the first film, which is singular not just as horror but as psychological drama. Luckily we still have Friedkin's masterpiece, because this film, directed by David Gordon Green, co-written by Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems, is the opposite in quality. The premise...

Keep reading to find out more…
Split into five distinct sections based on the story of Dante’s Inferno and helmed by director Will Baker and choreographers Brian and Scott Nicholson, the show covered Kim’s discography and her greatest hits, including a whole section dedicated to her EP Slut Pop and her Halloween-themed mixtape Turn Off The Light.
At one point, she even stabbed herself with her microphone while singing to a mysterious man from a bed on the stage, revealed to be a pre-taped, masculine version of Kim in a hyper-realistic silicone body suit!

Though the Holocaust had no one architect, Rudolf Höss remains singularly responsible for the speed and efficiency of the atrocities committed at Auschwitz, later emulated at the other Nazi death camps, thanks to his approval of the use of the deadly Zyklon B gas. And for his efforts at the first Auschwitz camp in Oświęcim, Poland, he was rewarded by being made commandant of death camp administration throughout the Nazi-occupied lands. This is the monster on full display in Jonathan Glazer’s adaptation of Martin Amis’s The Zone of Interest.
While the novel’s protagonist is named Paul Doll, Glazer chose to name Christian Friedel’s character Rudolf Höss. This immediately point to Glazer’s interest in bringing in the weight of a well-recorded historical character living in a specific place and time: the Höss household next to Auschwitz I in Oświęcim from 1943 to 1944. I’ve recently been playing a lot of Final Fantasy XVI in my free time. The latest installment of a long-running series of RPGs that are disconnected from each other in all but the title. Each new entry introduces new worlds, characters, gameplay etc. So every new installment has the potential to deliver something wholly new and exciting to new players or long time fans of the series. Some are set in the far future with modern technology, others are set in the past with a focus on magic.
Final Fantasy XVI introduces a more bleak take on series conventions with a story that focuses on warring nations and personal loss. In the world of Valisthea, the nation is at war wielding massive monsters known as Eikons. These giant creatures are traditionally summons in the previous games but here are tools of destruction that are used to advance political ambitions.

A kindred spirit of Luis Buñuel, but one whose existential compulsions are more palpable, Pier Paolo Pasolini perpetually rebelled against moral hegemony, commiserating with outcasts and creating and dying as one. Today, his canon has been co-opted by forces on the right and left, the faithful and the secular. Which is to say, he belongs to us all.
The Criterion Collection’s new box set, Pasolini 101, represents the most comprehensive collection of Pasolini’s films to date, collecting nine of his features, as well as two shorts (1963’s La Ricotta and 1969’s The Sequence of the Paper Flower) that he made for anthology films and two documentaries that he shot during his travels. In addition to his own work, the set’s extensive and richly informative extras, among them two commentary tracks and a 100-page book featuring an essay and notes on the films by critic James Quandt, remind us...

With the fourth entry of the series already gaining massive praise and admiration all around, I guess it can be said without a shred of doubt that as a franchise, “John Wick” has managed to revolutionize an entire genre of action-oriented movies for the modern audience, all the while staying faithful and conveying adulation to the classic action genre. Screenwriter Derek Kolstad’s and director Chad Stahelski’s inventive vision and lead actor Keanu Reeves’ passion led to making the simplistic arc of an urban legend engaging and unique. Through the use of a uniquely choreographed hands-on approach to the fight sequences, wide shots and long takes, appropriate fight settings, evocative visuals, detailed worldbuilding, and a keen sense of self-awareness—the franchise became one of the most influential ones.
Spoilers Ahead
In the recently released fourth part, the visual brilliance is even more perceivable and helps enrich the narrative, thanks...

Titled “Demo,” the series follows a 20-something musician who “dares to leave behind her struggling indie rock band and her working class family to try writing pop songs in Los Angeles,” according to the network. “Though at first she’s eager to shed her past, she soon discovers that the best songs tell the deepest truths–if only she can find the strength to tell hers.”
Alex Pall and Drew Taggart will serve as executive producers on the project via their Kick the Habit banner, alongside Dan Marcus and Adam Alpert. “Switched at Birth” and “Madam Secretary” alum Joy Gregory will write and co-executive produce.

Just a few weeks after reporting that Universal will be giving Dante Alighieri's epic poem the live action treatment, news has now reached the trades that Dante's Inferno will also be getting the anime treatment!
Electronic Arts and Starz Media have teamed to produce their second animated feature, which will be based on the EA Game "Dante's Inferno." Film Roman, a subsidiary of Starz will produce the film, as it did with "Dead Space: Downfall," which was distribbed by Starz in the fall and was tied to the release of EA's high-profile sci-fi horror vidgame "Dead Space."
And to give each of the nine circles of hell (limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery) their full charm, separate anime studios are being commissioned to create each one.
The game and the anime are both based on part one of Dante's classic poem "The Divine Comedy," better known as "Dante's Inferno.

In case you slept through English Lit, we should mention that Dante’s Inferno is actually a book-to-videogame-to-film adaptation. This isn’t a precedent, but it’s still an impressive leap for a 14th century poem. If the author, Dante Alighieri is rolling in his grave, at least you can be happy the film is in good hands with Dan Harris (X2, Superman Returns) writing the screenplay.

Ship to Shore Distribution has announced L'inferno for release on July 15. The black and white film was originally released in Italy in 1911 and was directed by Francesco Bertolini, Adolfo Padovan, and Giuseppe de Liguoro. The first known full-length Italian feature film L'Inferno is a surreal and beautiful nightmare of a film. Inspired by the haunting images of Gustave Dore and based on the classic literary work Dante's Inferno this gothic epic fallows Dante Alighieri (Salvatore Papa) as he is lead by Virgilio (Arturo Pirovano) through the nine circles of hell. This silent phantasmagoria will sink into your brain permanently as images like lucifer gorging himself on human bodies amidst a frozen wasteland and men holding their screaming decapitated heads towards the heavens unfold. Less like a film than a dream from another planet "L'Inferno" has left audiences breathless since it was first unveiled nearly one-hundred years ago. Head on over...
