Amusing one reel comedy of subterfuge and complications
This is a very short (8 minute) comedy in which a young couple use the girl's father's hatband as a communication device. He seems to frown on their relationship as the young man works in his office. She manages to send him messages by hiding them in her father's hatband, which her boyfriend reads when father hangs his hat up in the office. Similarly, he is able to send her messages as well.

The amusement comes when the father's hat is accidentally switched with another man's at the barbershop and the second man's jealous wife discovers the love notes.

All very innocent and one of 29 short subjects Norma filmed during the year 1913. The DVD print is very washed out and fuzzy, but still enjoyable.
