  • Not very interesting; it tells a story of a son who went away to find business in the city and there married a woman of fashion. The old man happens to come on a visit just as a ball is being held in his son's house and the son is a bit ashamed of the father's clothes. Later the father helps the son to replace money he has embezzled. It is a very artificial picture; and there are crude scenes and some camera consciousness, as when the sons chum waits tor the father, not at the depot door, but just in front of the camera. - The Moving Picture World, November 22, 1913
