| More Melodramatic Than Usual for Broncho Billy
Broncho Billy Anderson gets engaged to Evelyn Selby. Jealous Brinsley Shaw gets Broncho Billy fired from his job and forges a letter that Evelyn has thrown him over because he has been discharged for drunkenness and gambling -- a lie.

This Broncho Billy short film is more melodramatic than most of his movies, and Frederick Hodges has provided it an appropriate score. It's also perfectly watchable in the fine print that has been restored by the BFI. It's another of the highly variable stories that Anderson starred in for more than three hundred movies for his own production company, which made him the first star of genre western movies over more than a decade.
