Madame Mysteria, a popular clairvoyant, is killed in a train crash, and her three assistants--The Fox ( Charles Clary ), Limpy Jim ( Frank Brownlee ), and Deagon ( William De Vaull ) each with a criminal record, decide not to identify the body, since the medium had extracted valuable information from her wealthy clients. The Fox produces a replacement, Jean Oliver ( Alice Lake ), who has been framed by wealthy Mrs. Ramsey ( Kate Lester ) because of her son Donald's ( Carl Gerard ) attentions to the girl--and Jean consents to assume the role on the condition that they allow her vengeance, by kidnapping Mrs. Ramsey's grandson. Meanwhile, Gordon Grant ( Allan Forrest ), whom Jean loves and to whom she was previously engaged, has become an amateur detective. Upon investigating the connection between Madame Mysteria and the robberies perpetrated upon her former clients, he ultimately uncovers the gang of swindlers and the missing Ramsey baby. Jean is cleared by a statement from Mrs. Ramsey and is happily reunited with Gordon.

This 1921 mystery/drama was produced by Metro Pictures Corporation and starred the popular silent cinema stars, Alice Lake and Allan Forrest. Sadly it now remains a lost silent film.
