Expecting a delay in filming in London, Richard Dix and cameraman Charles Van Enger booked a flight to Paris aboard a small plane. Just before boarding, they were informed they would be needed on the set that day. They released their seats to two passengers on standby. The plane later crashed, killing the pilot and both passengers.
