Newlywed lawyer Henry Gilbert lends his car to his partner, Wilbur Belcher, while he works late one night on a case for Percy Snodgrass' Purity League. Wilbur, a gay old blade, goes joyriding with Charlotte Germaine, an old sweetheart. The next day, Henry's wife Violet, finds incriminating evidence and, with Mrs. Belcher's aid, plans a divorce. After various complications, Charlotte explains matters to Violet, and Henry is cleared.
