This is a a tragic reversal of the usual situation - the rather hardy Vitaphone sound disc surviving and the film portion being lost. Ruth Etting did a series of Vitaphone shorts that do survive intact, and several of them are on the DVD of "Love Me or Leave Me", which is about her life. The video for this short does survive, although it is not released in anything other than fragments. There are some fragments in the Warner short subject "The Hollywood Shorts Story" and also on the documentary "Bacall on Bogart". This film is notable as the first film appearance of Humphrey Bogart. I don't know why people are even giving this film a rating since without the sound it is impossible to judge.
