Within the year this little Continental bonbon was remade by Hollywood with Marilyn Miller, and not surprisingly they managed to shave nearly half an hour off its running time.
After a bright start with giddyingly mobile camerawork by Otto Kanturek it starts to meander; and the absence of Gretl Theimer as bouncy blonde acrobatic dancer Elli and Tibor von Halmay as her dance teacher from most of the second half of the picture is particularly perplexing.
