New copy (restored) of "Maria do Mar"

The "Cinemateca Portuguesa", made for the first time a complete restoration of a movie. This film was selected 'cause it is considerer one of the most beautiful silent film from Portugal. The president of the "Cinemateca Portuguesa", have said, that the film is a "fresco" of the cinema, in the presentation of the movie. For the release of the restored movie, an original orchestral music was composed by Bernardo Sasseti. The film was released on March, the 11th, 2000, in Lisboa, Portugal, and on March, the 14th, 2000, in Porto, Portugal.
