  • Warning: Spoilers
This is a surprisingly enjoyable B racket film involving a criminal syndicate that fixes car races by either intimidation...or else. The first scene features one such incident where a driver is forced off the road into a fatal car crash, presumably because they wouldn't play ball. Bring Western star Buck Jones into the action, playing a racing driver determined to crash this racket, and you've got an exciting action film that may not be close to "Grand Prix", but is plenty fine on its own.

Loretta Sayers plays the female romantic lead who isn't shy about doing her own investigative snooping and a scene stealing Mickey Rooney (unbilled, surprising considering the length of his screen time) as a wheelchair bound pal of Jones who provides a lot of sentiment. The racing sequences seem like the real deal, and will keep the viewer rivited.
