Gold Diggers of 1933Goofs
When J. Lawrence is talking to Carol about Polly and Brad's marriage; he threatens that if they are married he will have their marriage annulled. However, him not knowing of their marriage makes no sense because in the previous scene Peabody showed him a front-page article announcing their marriage. In addition, this is how he became aware that Carol was pretending to be Polly.
When Peabody informs Brad and Polly that he and Trixie are married; Brad, in turn, informs Peabody that he and Polly are married. Peabody acts astonished and offers his congratulations. However in a previous scene, Peabody read the newspaper headline announcing Brad and Polly's wedding, therefore, this scene is confusing and not logical since Peabody already knew that they were married.
When the delivery man brings the expensive hat to Trixie; he says the cost is $75 and the price is repeated by Trixie. All this is said loudly in front of J. Lawrence Bradford and he reacts to it. However in the next shot when Bradford offers to pay for it he asks for the cost of the hat and then is shocked by the price. There is no way he could not have heard the previous two times when the cost of the hat was mentioned.
