Allegedly, Kirk Hammett purchased the costume worn by 'Boris Karloff (I)' in his final scene. However, the original jacket from that screen-worn costume was torn to shreds by Bela Lugosi at the end of the movie. Said jacket also appears to be much smaller than the one which would have been worn by Karloff, who was several inches taller than Hammett (5' 11" vs 5' 7¼"); yet when standing behind his Karloff mannequin, Hammet appears to be about the same height and the jacket a rather small size.
