One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since. This received its earliest documented telecast in New York City on the Late, Late Show Monday 7 December 1959 on WCBS (Channel 2); despite the presence of a youthful Cary Grant, sponsor resistance to its age and the pre-code aspects of its story resulted in its only rarely being taken out of the vault in other locations; the next visible exception was Grand Rapids, Michigan, where it aired 6 April 1960 on the Afternoon Matinee on WOOD (Channel 8). It was released on DVD 19 April 2016 as one of 18 [Paramount] films in Universal's Cary Grant - The Vault Collection.
