A doctor has a rough time obtaining the money for delivering his services in a lumber town until he delivers the Dionne quintuplets.
Filming of The Dionne Quintuplets took place at their home in Callander, Ontario, Canada, for only 45 minutes per day under the technical supervision of Dr. Allan R. Dafoe. Dorothy Peterson, Jean Hersholt, director Henry King, camera and sound men spent 17 days getting as much film shot as they could. King basically discarded the script at that point and let the quintuplets do the things that toddlers do. Twentieth Century-Fox agreed to hire the same number of Canadian technicians as Americans who entered Canada for the movie, after Canadian union men protested the lack of Canadians for the job.
