The biopic of the famous French muckraking writer and his involvement in fighting the injustice of the Dreyfuss Affair.
Bonita Granville (Violet) is in studio records/casting call lists for this movie, but she did not appear. In March 1937 it was announced in movie industry Trade Papers that she had been signed to a long term contract by Warner Bros. and that "The Story of Emile Zola" (released as "The Life of Emile Zola") would be her first film under the new contract.
