The only Hopalong Cassidy movie to show a telephone. Also the only Hopalong Cassidy film not to have someone named "Earl" listed in the credits (although Earle Hodgins has an uncredited role as "Major Jordan").
This tale's motivation aside, Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders--despite their horseback training in the U.S.--never had mounts shipped to Cuba. Except for TR himself, they CRAWLED up San Juan Hill.
