| Forgettable Romantic Comedy Set in World of Fashion
Marion Gering was a Paramount contract director who did several fairly interesting films with their then star Sylvia Sidney and here helms a comedy of romantic complications featuring a now forgotten actress Luli Deste he had directed in a British film, Thunder Over The City, the year before. The conflict for magazine illustrator John Boles (usually rather stiff though he shows off his nice singing voice in one scene) is between long time model Frances Drake and visiting Paris dress designer Deste. Franklin Pangborn and Helen Westley contribute something but if this is supposed to be a screwball comedy it is a rather bland one.
