Rival version of drama of Carlotta, Maximilian and Juarez, story better known from simultaneously filmed 1939 Juarez. This different production, financed by Mexico and Columbia , was bought out by Warners to play down competition.
A nitrate print of this film survives in the UCLA Film and Television Archives, and is not listed for preservation.
