| a bit fun and a bit of tropical heat
Nick Butler (James Cagney) is the reluctant foreman of a Central American banana plantation owned by Mr. Case. Mr. Case fires nightclub singer Lee Donley (Ann Sheridan) and sends her back to America for riling up the locals. She gets locked up next to revolutionary outlaw Rosario La Mata but he manages to escape the firing squad. She sneaks off the boat into Nick's arms. This is a bit fun and a nice tropical adventure. It's got Cagney. Sheridan is fun. This is nice.
