The tanks shown in the opening sequences and through most of film are M2A4 light tanks, which were a frontline combat tanks until late 1941. At the end of the film, however, the "19th Armored Regiment's" review shows them operating M3 "Stuart" light tanks, which were just coming into service late in 1941. The two tanks look similar but the M3's 37mm main gun did not have a support housing around its barrel, nor did the M3 have the .30cal. machine guns in the hull, left and right of the turret.
