'Dusty' (John 'Dusty King) gets photographed wearing the belt and is identified as 'Crash' Corrigan in the newspaper story. 'Crash'. led on by 'Alibi' Terhune (Max Terhune), who once worked on the Pembroke ranch, thinks that Maybelle would "go for a slick easterner and dudes up as a writer from Boston, while 'Dusty' goes to the ranch , is recognized as 'Crash' from the newspaper picture, and is hired as the foreman. The trio soon finds themselves involved in range-feud between Pembroke and a neighboring rancher but, which in reality, is being instigated by an outside faction in a land-grab scheme.
