James Stewart addresses the movie going audience not as the Hollywood actor most know him to be but rather as a lieutenant of the US Army Air Forces in encouraging those that want to do their part for the US war effort to consider joining the Air Forces as this war is largely being fought, and thus ultimately won or lost, in the air. He addresses questions about skills and qualifications, and how an air force life would fit into different personal situations. He talks about training, including basic training and in-air flight training. He describes a few of the jobs aboard a bomber, which consists of a nine man crew, as well as the ground crew. Throughout it all, he stresses the key attribute of being a member of the air forces - teamwork - and that skills and traits learned will carry one throughout life, military or other.
