Edward Todd, assigned to co-edit this serial with Tony Martinelli, died suddenly during the filming, on February 2, 1943, prior to any assembly, and was replaced by Wallace Grissell. Todd had been co-editor on 24 previous Republic serials, beginning with Dick Tracy (1937). He was not, as some contributor has assumed, an uncredited editor of this serial. He had been assigned to do so but died before any editing had begun.
