Re-titled The Double Crossed Fool, this film was first purchased for telecast in New York City in mid-1948 by WPIX (Channel 11), as part of their newly acquired series of three dozen Hal Roach feature film productions, originally released theatrically between 1931 and 1943, and now being syndicated for television broadcast by Regal Television Pictures. However, no record of WPIX ever showing the film has been found. Its earliest documented telecasts were in New York City 5 July 1949 on WJZ (Channel 7), who picked up the Roach package after WPIX was finished with it, and in Detroit Thursday 22 September 1949 on WXYZ (Channel 7).
