Continuity
When the female troop marches down the stairs toward the end of the sequence; the troop halts and does a rifle maneuver. But Laura Lorraine, who had given a command for every previous rifle maneuver, did not do so for this last one, therefore, the troop should not have executed it and just stayed in a halt position.
Revealing mistakes
The newspaper article about Dooley partying in New York states his rating as a Gunner's Mate 2nd Class, but he is wearing the rating of an Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class.
Audio/visual unsynchronised
When the female soldiers march up the stairs; Laura stands at the bottom of the stairs and barks out a command. However no audio of her voice is heard although her mouth is moving.
Character error
The single medal ribbon Dooley is wearing on the top row, presumably awarded for his unmentioned heroic actions, is the Navy's Distinguished Service Medal, which is the third highest award behind the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross. However, it was almost always awarded to senior officers (above Captain) or very senior enlisted ranks in command - not a Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class like Dooley.
When Chief Briggs is reading the report on Dooley before him at the Navy Dept. in Washington, it gives Dooley's rating as Aviation Ordnanceman. However Dooley is wearing the Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd class rating on his uniform.
