When the shooting resumed in 1944, it was with a new director, (Nino Giannini), a new cinematographer (Domenico Scala) and a largely reworked script by the same Giannini and Paola Ojetti. All the main actors were also replaced, the original consisted of: Clara Calamai, Umberto Melnati, Assia Noris and Giuditta Rissone. The film was released only in the spring of 1945 with only Giannini's name as director.
