- Chapter One MYSTERY OF THE COSMIC RAY - Heading an aviation company that develops atom-powered motors, Jim Fairfield (Pierre Watkin) learns from his chief scientists, Vic Hardy (Hugh Prosser), that cosmic radiations are being employed for experiments at a point outside Aherica. This information is told to Jim's nephew Billy Fairfield (Joe Brown Jr.) his niece Betty Fairfield (Rosemary LaPlanche), and to their best friend Jack Armstrong (John Hart). They decide to investigate further before calling in the government. Meanwhile, Gregory Pierce (John Merton), an important customer of Uncle Jim's, is secretly interested in Hardy's discovery. He order his henchmen to kidnap Hardy, whose knowledge of the rays may be useful at a location Pierce designates as "Point X." Uncle Jim, Jack and Billy trace the gang to a waterfront warehouse. - Chapter TwoTHE FAR WORLD - The heroic trio escape when the door to the trapped room is blown open by the force of the explosion. Bt triangulating the cosmic rays, Jack determines the the experiments are taking place thousands of miles away. DEducing that Hardy will be taken there, Jack, Uncle Jim, billy and Betty take off in a jet-propelled airplane. When Hardy lands on Point X, he meets Professor Zorn (Wheeler Oakman)and is addressed by an unseen "ruler" who tells him that they are perfecting a cosmic ray-gun to dominate planter Earth. Whenthreatened with death, Vic Hardy agrees to help them.Warned of the jet planes arrival, Zora turns on an electronic activator freezing the controls. The plane crashes into a mountain. - Chaapter ThreeISLAND OF DECEPTION - Jack Armstrong saves himself and his friends by forcing the plane into a a belly landing. Jason Grood (Charles Middleton), owner of the island's trading post and the brains behind the cosmic rays scheme, sends henchman Blair (Jack Ingram) to bring the Fairfield party to the trading post. Blair kills a native who was bringing food to Jack. The newcomers are held responsible. Ptincess Alura (Claire James), ostensibly the ruler of the island but who is really dominated by Grood, demands they be taken for the judgment to the temple of Xalta, the island deity.
