The story of the great sharpshooter Annie Oakley, who rose to fame while dealing with her love/professional rival, Frank Butler.
Rights to the Broadway show cost $650,000, a record at the time.
Annie Oakley:
Hey, mister...? Don't you like girls?
Frank Butler:
Well... sure!
Annie Oakley:
I'm a girl.
Frank Butler:
That's fine.
During the shooting match between Annie and Frank, a number of the clay targets actually explode before the "shot" has been taken, and several targets are "hit" despite the rifle not even pointed at the target (most noticeable on Annie's first shot). In addition, neither shooter stops to reload their rifles, despite a continuous barrage of firing.
