The song "El negro zumbon", known as "Anna" in the U.S., was a million-selling single on MGM Records in 1953. (The recording was taken directly from the soundtrack of the film.) Contrary to popular belief, the lyrics aren't in Italian, they're in Spanish. And it is not Silvana Mangano we hear, but the voice of Italian singer Flo Sandon's.
When Anna is performing "El negro zumbon", she is initially shown dancing in a medium distance shot and her arms are fully outstretched. As she begins to sing there is a cut to a closeup and her right hand is now directly in front of her face.
