Shortly after King Ferdinand kicks Christopher Columbus out of his palace, Bugs Bunny's first scene occurs and looks at Christopher Columbus's globe. Then, when he voices his frustration, as if cursing in Italian, Bugs asks why. Columbus tells Bugs that King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella do not believe that the Earth is round. Bugs then gets a baseball (before the sport was created) and tosses it. Ten seconds later, it arrives with marks and names of eight famous city names: Paris, France; Cairo, Egypt; Shanghai, China; London, England; Lima, Peru; Mumbai, India; Brooklyn, New York; and Hollywood, California.

Christopher Columbus: Atsà matta fa me? Atsà matta fa *you*!
Bugs Bunny: Atsà matta fa you! Tell 'em, Chris.
Christopher Columbus: Ooh, cacciatore! Belladonna! Antipasto!
Bugs Bunny: In spades!
