A psychiatrist tells two stories: one of a transvestite (Glen or Glenda), the other of a pseudohermaphrodite (Alan or Anne).
The film was reissued in 1982 when Edward D. Wood Jr.'s stock rose dramatically after the Golden Turkey Awards named him the worst director of all time in 1980.
Glen is not a homosexual. Glen is a transvestite, but he is not a homosexual.
In the very first scene with Bela Lugosi, the cameraman's shadow is visible when the camera zooms out.
